Frequently asked questions.

What can I expect my first appointment?

New patients will need to have a comprehensive lab panel, customized by our provider, Jeff Topo. Our office will order the panel through Quest, Sutter or Rupa Health. Your initial visit will be scheduled approximately three weeks from your lab draw. This first visit will be spent assessing your lab report with Jeff, reviewing your medical history, discussing your medical concerns and formulating a plan of action.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Please call our office during normal business hours to schedule an appointment.

How can I communicate with office staff?

You can reach our office via phone call, email, or text message. Written consent for electronic communication is obtained when signing our membership agreement.

What if I just had labs done elsewhere?

It is very likely that your recent labs do not include many of the tests in the Functional Medicine Collective initial lab work.

Will I need more testing?

Some patients will need additional testing to get to the root of their health concern. This might be for food sensitivities, mold or toxin exposure, gastrointestinal abnormalities, inflammatory disease, imaging, or more. Not all testing is available within our facility and may be referred out.

Do I have to be a member to see Jeff?

After meeting with Jeff and having your initial consultation, you can either sign up for membership to continue ongoing treatment, or you can pay the one time consultation fee. Please note - the one time consultation option does not include prescription management or follow up.

Do you accept insurance?

No, Functional Medicine Collective and it’s provider are not contracted with any commercial insurance, Medicare or Medical.
